The young composers’ workshop MAKING SCORE, which closes its tenth season this evening, is the first program of its kind in the country.  In its monthly sessions, program participants explore the musical thought of a wide variety of composers, drawing from the vast classical repertoire and a range of musical traditions from throughout the world.  The course aims to cultivate its students' own voices through class discussion, written exercises, and free composition.
